Is health insurance forbidden under Islam?
This is not the only religion that bans health insurance based on archaic and misapplied doctrine. Let's hope the fundies don't go claiming interference with religion as a reason to stop gambling with other people's money (oops, I meant--as a reason to not get health insurance).
